Clicks alone do not accurately measure the success of your display ads. Although it’s common to see relatively low click-through rates in this space, there are other metrics you can use to monitor the performance of your ads.

When done right, display ads boost brand awareness and even increase a user’s intent to make a purchase.

Display ads show up on websites, apps, and social media platforms, so it’s important to make sure that your ad creative is eye-catching and visually appealing to your audience.

One way to do this is through animation. Animated ads are 5-10 second looped images or videos, used in online marketing to draw a viewer’s attention toward your creative messaging.

To stand out from the crowd and differentiate your brand, Google recommends sticking to the “3 C’s” when creating display ads:

1. Compelling
2. Clear
3. Concise

Display ads help build brand awareness with your target audience. While search ads reach users who are actively searching for your product or service, display ads help generate new interest for your business.

Display ads also present remarketing opportunities, which allow your business to position targeted ads in front of users that have already visited your website.

Reaching the right people in the right place, at the right time, can be difficult, but the Internet serves as your gateway to potential customers and digital marketing helps you reach your intended audience.
