It feels good to shatter records…even though we hit some setbacks at this IWJG Miami watch show!
To start off, this show was absolutely packed! We were able to sell many AP Royal Oaks to different dealers, as well as the Sylvester Stallone Rolex ruby dial Day-Date.
During day 1, you’ll see @Nico Leonard of Pride and Pinion stop by and take a look at some Rolex Subs as well as the Rolex Day-Date that we sold. @Roman Sharf of Luxury Bazaar makes a sneak appearance at our booth (literally!). Even ex-grey market dealer and watch YouTuber from the UK, @Paul Thorpe Watch Dealer, stops by. Paul actually stopped by our show after the show and got a complete tour of CRM and met most of the CRM Life team members, while live streaming to his YouTube followers. We thought that @Anthony Farrer from @The Timepiece Gentleman was going to stop by as well, since he had a brief conversation with Carlos during the show, but he never made it.
Everyone was talking about the rapid increase in prices for luxury watches during the Miami event, but especially about models of the Audemars Piguet brand. No wonder we sold off so much of our AP inventory!
We didn’t buy much, but were able to acquire a beautiful Patek Philippe 5370P Grand Complications Split-Seconds Chronograph (ref. 5370P-011) with the blue enamel dial. We got a great deal on the watch and think this is a sleeper giant that deserves to be closer to the 5980 Nautilus in terms of price. We’ll see what happens, give that now this is Carlos’ new “baby!”
